The 45th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon has been selected as a finalist for the Sports Business Poland Awards in the Sports Event category for 2023! We are honored to be recognized alongside the Silesia Diamond League (Kamila Skolimowska Memorial) and the European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023!

On March 26th, the trophies will be awarded for the third time to those entities whose activities in the past year have played a significant role in the development and popularization of sports. The main criterion for selecting the winners is the creativity and innovation of the initiatives undertaken. The second stage of the competition is behind us. From over 400 submitted nominations, the final TOP3 in 15 categories have been selected.

The Jury, consisting of representatives of SBP and members of the Program Council, will now decide who will receive the Statuettes. Nearly 90 industry experts will vote in secret to determine the winners of the Sports Business Poland Awards for 2023.

Thank you for the recognition, and we eagerly await further announcements! Congratulations to all the honorees!

The 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon will be hosting the Polish Half Marathon Championships!

During the 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon, the 33rd Polish Half Marathon Championships will take place under the auspices of the Polish Athletics Association. On March 24, we will witness the competition of top Polish female and male athletes on the streets of the capital.

The best female and male athletes in Warsaw

This year’s Polish Half Marathon Championships will take place in the capital, during the 18th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Half Marathon. Originally scheduled for March 10 in Gniezno, the organizer informed the Polish Athletics Association that the event would not take place there. When choosing a new venue for the championship, it was important for Polish Athletics Association, in addition to the event’s reputation, to adjust the event date to the international competition calendar, taking into account the Summer Olympic Games in Paris and the European Championships in Rome.

This year is truly exceptional as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first marathon in Poland, which took place in Warsaw, and eagerly await the Olympic Games in Paris. We will begin our celebration at the end of March when, as every year, the running spring starts in Warsaw. The decision made by the Polish Athletics Association is an honor for us, but also proof that the capital is an excellent venue for organizing major sporting events,” says Marek Tronina, the president of the “Marathon Warsaw” Foundation.
