MARATHON RELAY

Team power! Nothing motivates and intensifies emotions like team competition. So gather a group of 3 friends, family or work colleagues to join the running feast that will overtake the capital city on the last Sunday of September and feel the atmosphere of the Warsaw Marathon!
Bridgestone Marathon Relay is a great opportunity also for those who are just getting used to the idea of running the royal distance, but at the same time want to feel the magic and become a part of the Great Run.

3-PERSON TEAMS AT THE STARTING LINE
Participants in the Bridgestone Marathon Relay will divide the distance of the marathon between themselves: the runner on the first shift will have to run about 14 kilometers, the second- around 10 kilometers, and the last one – about 18 kilometers.

The change zones are located in close proximity to the start and finish line, so each participant will have the comfort of passing those lines regardless of which shift he or she runs.

THE RELAY ROUTE

Participants of the Bridgestone Marathon Relay will start together with marathon runners on a COMMON ROUTE, which will run through the heart of the capital city and attractive tourist locations, such as the Royal Łazienki Park, Bridges: Gdański and Świętokrzyski, Plac Trzech Krzyży, Rondo de Gaulle’a, Nowy Świat up to the Castle Square in the Old Town.

RUN FOR A GOOD CAUSE

When organizing the Bridgestone Marathon Relay, the #BiegamDobrze campaign cannot be missed. This is an initiative that allows you to combine running and helping. Participants of this campaign have already raised nearly 7 million zlotys for partner charities. You can sign up for the run through the #BiegamDobrze charity track. By setting up your virtual fundraiser, you raise funds for important social causes, and when you exceed PLN 1,000 as a gift from the supported organization, you receive a running start package. Want to add some extra meaning to your run?

10 KM RUN!

Take part in the Pekao S.A. Warsaw’s 10 km Run and become a part of a new running history! The 10 km run will be held periodically in autumn as a companion run to the Warsaw Marathon.

The Pekao S.A. Warsaw’s 10 km Run is an excellent opportunity to get a feeling of the unique atmosphere of this sporting event and become a part of the Great Run without having to cover 42.195 km. No running enthusiast should miss such an event!

ATTRACTIVE ROUTE
The Pekao S.A. Warsaw’s 10 km Run will start on September 25th, at 9:30 a.m., right after the marathon participants set off. The runners will start out from Konwiktorska Street towards Żoliborz and Bielany districts. The run will end on a long straight stretch of the route leading through the wide Wislostrada up to the finish line located at the height of the Multimedia Fountain Park.

A small number of turns, lots of long and straight parts of the route, very few hills, and comfortable, wide arteries make Pekao S.A. Warsaw’s 10 km Run the one where runners can strive to achieve their personal best records. At the same time, a large number of historical monuments, memorials, but also characteristic landmarks or green areas make the route very attractive scenically.

GRAB LIFE BY THE HORNS
The slogan of Pekao S.A. Warsaw’s 10 Km Run is “Grab life by the horns.” It refers, of course, to the characteristic PKO S.A. logo of a bison, but in this context, it also serves a motivational purpose. Together with the title sponsor, we want to encourage everyone, not just the experienced runners, to get active. How long have you been aiming to trump your personal best on your favorite distance? Or maybe you’ve never dared to participate in a street run yet? Grab life by the horns; there won’t be a better opportunity!

Pic2Go

Participation in the 44th Warsaw Marathon and Bridgestone Marathon Relay is an extraordinary sporting experience for every runner. Exceptional emotions accompany the competitors from the start to the finish line. Captured in photographs, they will be unforgettable!

Bridgestone, in cooperation with Pic2Go, will provide photos to the participants of this year's running challenges over the royal distance and the Bridgestone Marathon Relay route.

If you are competing in the 44th Warsaw Marathon or Bridgestone Marathon Relay, you can get free access to your running photos on the Pic2Go platform.

Here’s how it works.
1) There is a “pic tag” on the starting number of marathon and marathon relay participants, which will identify your running photos.
2) To access them, enter your start number in the box below.
3) Select the best of the shared photos and post them on your Facebook profile. Preserve the memories of your athletic achievement and share them!

The dedicated photo page will also include statistics of your run, a virtual 3D map and a poster.

Activate your running number by entering it in the box below.

Your photos will be streamed to a dedicated page during the run. You can view and publish them right after crossing the finish line!
Remember that to receive photos you must properly place your start number with the pic tag which will allow your identification. It must be placed horizontally, in a clearly visible place on the front of the T-shirt. Crooked positioning or covering up the pic tag will make identification difficult or even impossible.

Charity program – enjoy double victory

The runners raised over 7 million złoty for charity action #BiegamDobrze since 2015. And that is just the beginning of running for charity in Poland!

You run, because it is your passion. You enjoy collecting kilometres, searching for new challenges and races. Thanks to running you are healthy and fit, you can feel the thrill of rivalry and the joy of recreation in good company. Now you can also help others while running. Take up the challenge! Help others doing what you like best – running! We are introducing to Poland a new model of running for charity tested and successfully used on the world’s biggest events where the runners themselves are engaged in collecting funds for important for them charities. It will only depend on you how many people you will encourage  to support the organisation of your choice  and what effect you will achieve.

Running for charity in the world

Running for charity is a very popular way to help. The number of runners collecting funds for charity began to exceed the number of non-charity runners in the most prestigious events such as the marathons in London or New York City. The largest charity event in the world is the London Marathon – since 1981 its participants have raised more than  £600 million  for charity!

Our charity partners

You have an opportunity to actively support the operation of one of our nine partner organizations: Amnesty International, Empowering Children Foundation, SYNAPSIS Foundation, NON IRON, Rak’n’Roll – Win Your Life! Foundation, Premature Parents to Parents Foundation, Spartanie Dzieciom, PAH, Na Ratunek Fundation. Choose a cause that is close to your heart and contribute to it running in the 44th Warsaw Marthon!

How does it work?

1. Register for the race choosing one of two paths. You can participate in the race in the “ordinary way” – by paying the entry fee and just getting ready for the race. Yet you can do much more – get involved in collecting funds for one of ten partner charity organisations.
2. Choosing the latter path i.e. “charity path” during the registration, you will create the profile of your fund raising. With the use of this profile your friends, family, neighbours and other runners will be able to donate money and support your participation in the race. You will also get the access to charity runner guidebook with information on how to raise money that will also show you that collecting money for charity does not have to be hard and gives you the joy of helping others.
3. When the counter on your profile will show 450 PLN, the money will be transferred to the bank account of the organisation of your choice and you will get your starting number from that organisation. You have to collect the sum of 450 PLN until August 31st, yet you can continue money raising until October 5th.
4. That’s not it! You can set your own goal – challenge yourself to do something when you manage to reach a specific amount of money. Make it fun and encourage your friends to take part in it.
5. Collect your race kit in the race office of 44th Warsaw Marathon. The organisation of your choice will do its best to make you feel that your run means something more than just participation in a race.

What if you fail?

There is no chance for that! If you do not manage to raise 450 PLN until the deadline – the money collected will be transferred to the organisation anyway and you will still have time to register for the race in the ordinary way, pay the entry fee and participate in the race.

Take up the challenge, contribute to cause close to your heart by running in 44th Warsaw Marathon and enjoy double victory at the finish line!
