In 1924, the first marathon race took place in Poland. The 100th anniversary of the marathon in Poland is an extraordinary occasion.

We announced initiatives that will allow us to celebrate together – and now we can invite you to a birthday celebration that will last the whole year! We have engaged other marathons in Poland and special ambassadors in our joint activities!

We are also publishing a gem – an archival description of the first marathon in Poland, and we encourage you to participate in the “100 faces of the marathon” campaign because you are creating the history of running! If running is your way of life, you can’t miss these birthday celebrations!

PS On the 100th day before the start of the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon, a special event will take place at the starting and finishing point of the first marathon in history. We are preparing for a beautiful and symbolic gesture – stay tuned!
