In honor of a special anniversary—100 years of marathons in Poland—the medal for the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon is inspired by this keepsake.

When you slide open the two parts of the medal, you’ll find a space inside, just like in a locket. This is where you can engrave your race time or insert a photo from the finish line—anything that will remind you of this extraordinary marathon achievement.

At the finish line of the Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon, our Little Big Runners will be greeted with commemorative medals—check them out! The Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon is a great opportunity to show the young ones that running is a fantastic hobby. The medal, shaped like a birthday cake in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the marathon in Poland, will be a wonderful keepsake along with hugs from parents and applause. Join us for the fun!

The reverse side of the medal will, of course, have space for engraving.

Children and youth will compete in various distances (tailored to their age) on Saturday, September 28th—the day before the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon.

The Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon eagerly awaits children and youth who want to experience the joy of sports every year. We invite you to join the Little Big Run—a race competition for the youngest participants. The races traditionally take place the day before the Great Run. See you on September 28th at the Palace of Culture and Science!

The Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon is divided into age categories, with participants running different distances based on their age. The youngest age groups—up to 3 and up to 5 years old—can start with a guardian. The upper age limit is 16 years. Everyone will receive a beautiful commemorative medal at the finish line.

The races will take place on Świętokrzyska Street, where the adults will start the following day. The starts of the respective groups are scheduled between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM—the exact start time for each age group will be announced closer to the event.

Here are the race categories and distances for the Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon:

– up to 3 years old (2021-2024) – approximately 50 meters
– 4-5 years old (2019-2020) – approximately 100 meters
– 6-7 years old (2017-2018) – approximately 150 meters
– 8-9 years old (2015-2016) – approximately 200 meters
– 10-11 years old (2013-2014) – approximately 400 meters
– 12-13 years old (2011-2012) – approximately 600 meters
– 14-16 years old (2008-2010) – approximately 1200 meters

Race Bib Collection:

Participants will be running with bibs that include a timing chip. You can pick up your race kit at the Palace of Culture and Science, Pl. Defilad 1, on the following dates:

– September 27, 2024 (Friday): 14:00 – 20:00
– September 28, 2024 (Saturday): 10:00 until 45 minutes before the start of your respective wave

We’re celebrating the round anniversary of the marathon distance in Poland, which is the central theme of this year’s Big Race. The design features a symbolic laurel wreath, inspired by the one awarded to Stefan Szelestowski, the winner of the first marathon in Poland.

With over 6,000 people already on the starting list, we’re excited to see you at the start line under the Palace of Culture and Science, ready to take on a fast and flat course through seven districts! This will be your day!
