We have collected all the key instructions in this information booklet for the 42nd PZU ORLEN Warsaw Marathon, so that you can calmly count down to the start of the race.

The run will be held at special times and many of the elements we are used to have changed. That is why it is worth taking a few moments to check the details and see what the event will look like in the last week of September.

It is best to fly with LOT for the most interesting running events organized in the most beautiful corners of the world. The participants of the two previous editions of our out-of-this-world competition – in 2017 and 2018 – have already found that out. Two years ago the contest was for flight tickets to Los Angeles and race kits for the marathon in the City of Angels. In 2018, the prize was a flight to Singapore and entry to the marathon in the Lion City. What we have for you in 2019 is a real hit! LOT Polish Airlines is opening a new Warsaw-MIAMI route and it will be there that the winner will be able to enter the marathon!
The first passengers will enjoy the direct connection WARSAW-MIAMI launched by LOT – the official partner of the 14th PZU Warsaw Half Marathon and the 41st Warsaw Marathon – in June. It will be the 14th long-haul route on which LOT’s Dreamliner will fly. The winner of our competition will have the opportunity to personally check the most convenient direct flight from Warsaw, as well as to experience the emotions, views and energy connected with running a marathon in the heart of the Sunshine State – Florida.
Everyone who has decided to take part in the 14th PZU Warsaw Half Marathon has a chance to become the owner of a voucher for a double flight return ticket on the Warsaw-MIAMI-Warsaw route and two race entries for the MIAMI MARATHON on February 9th, 2020.

Sounds inviting? All you need to do is:

1.  Finish the 14th PZU Warsaw Half Marathon.
2. Enter the competition, make a 30-second video and convince us that you should win the prize
3. Finish the 41st Warsaw Marathon then wait for a message from us.

“Welcome to Warsaw” – this slogan will inaugurate strategic cooperation with a new technical partner – the American brand New Balance. We have just signed a four-year contract. New Balance is a partner of well-known marathons in the world – in New York, London and Rotterdam. Our agreement includes a series of actions to give a new impulse to promote running and strengthen the position of Warsaw as the running capital of the region.

Together with the new partner, we want our cooperation to contribute to the next step towards the development of running and continuous raising of the level of events organized in the capital.

“I feel that the finalization of several months of talks about cooperation with New Balance brand is the beginning of something new, not only for the Warsaw Marathon but also for running in Warsaw and Poland in general. I am talking about this because it turned out that we share a very similar perception of the needs of the Polish market as well as the challenges facing the suppliers of products and services. We are facing the need to create a second boom for running and both people behind the NB brand and the FMW team really want to bring this new revolution. We have many years of cooperation ahead of us, which will benefit the entire running industry in Poland. And this is probably the best news,” says Marek Tronina, the president of the Warsaw Marathon Foundation.

“We eagerly awaited the start of cooperation with the Warsaw Marathon Foundation, organizer of, among others, a marathon with a 40-year tradition,” said Wojciech Majkut, president of Tarmax – a distributor of the New Balance brand in Poland. “The history and vision of our brands are characterized by incredible synergy and love of running. I hope that together we will bring new energy, creativity, and passion for the events organized by the Warsaw Marathon Foundation, “ Majkut added.

The new sponsor will also take care of providing the necessary sports equipment and the production of official T-shirts of our races.

New Balance as a partner of well-known marathons in the world – in New York, London and Rotterdam – perfectly understands the idea of promoting running. The first event in which our new partner will be involved in is the 14th Warsaw Half Marathon. This year’s edition will take place on March 31st and is accompanied by a unique mission – to collect  1,000,000 PLN for charity as part of the #BiegamDobrze charity action. We invite you to register for the half marathon!

The Race Office will be located at the Palace of Culture and Science (plac Defild 1) and it will be open only on 28th and 29th September 2018.

Race office opening hours:
28th of September 2018 (Friday) – 12:00 pm. – 8:00 pm.
29th of September 2018 (Saturday) – 10:00 am. – 8:00 pm.
Attention! The race office will be closed on the day of the race.

Remember! Your race kit can be collected by other person provided he/she has your personal race card (signed) and copy of your ID. Your race card is available to print out from your personal profile on registration site.

Pasta Party

Pasta Party! September 29th  between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm by the Race Office at Palace of Culture and Science.

Each registered person receives: a pasta dish (to choose form Penne Bolognese, Penne Pesto, Penne with chicken and champignons), a salad (greek or with tuna), a dessert (panna cotta with blackcurrant, chocolate pudding or mascarpone with raspberries) and a drink.

Each person is allowed to buy more than one meal. The cost is €5 per person.


People registering for the race have a possibility to buy the Pasta Party coupon during the registration for the race.
People already registered for the race have a possibility to buy the Pasta Party coupon after logging in to their profile in Registration Panel.  

Rules:

  1. The Organizer of the Pasta Party of the 40th PZU Warsaw Maraton is Warsaw Marathon Foundation.
  2. Pasta Party will take place on 29.09.2018 between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm
  3. The price of Pasta Party is €5 (gross) per person.
  4. The ability to purchase a coupon that allows the use of the Pasta Party is limited to participants of the 40 th PZU Warsaw Marathon, Marathon Relay and T-Mobile High Five Race. One participant is allowed to buy more than one coupon (one meal). The coupon for Pasta Party will be included in the race kit.
  5. One portion of a meal consists of:
    1. A pasta dish (to choose form Penne Bolognese, Penne Pesto, Penne with chicken and champignons)
    2. A salad (to choose from: Greek Salad, Tuna Salad)
    3. A dessert (to choose from: Panna Cotta with Blackcurrant, Chocolate Pudding or Mascarpone with Raspberries)
