Choosing a starting round
Dear Runners,
At 10:00 AM, August 25th the registration for starting rounds will commence. You will be able to choose your starting round only if you have previously filled out the vaccination status questionnaire, regardless of the answer you gave.
If you haven’t done it yet – log in to your profile on the registration page and fill out the form that will appear on the screen automatically after logging in.
The form is available until September 1st. On September 3rd, those participants that don’t fill out the questionnaire will be randomly and irreversibly assigned to one of the starting rounds.
In accordance with the current regulations: unvaccinated participants will be able to choose a round within the limit of 500 people per round (the order of applications decides), while vaccinated participants can choose starting rounds without any limit.
How to choose a starting round?
- Registration for the starting rounds will commence on August 25th and end on September 1st.
- Log in to the REGISTRATION page. The starting round selection form will appear automatically after logging in.
- Those participants that declared that they were fully vaccinated were automatically assigned to the first starting round at 8:00 AM (no need to choose your starting round then). However, those participants can change their starting round after registration.
– If you are fully vaccinated and you want to participate in the first round – there’s nothing else that you need to do
– If you want to sign up to a different starting round – log in to the REGISTRATION page, go to YOUR RUNS tab, click the DETAILS button next to the 43rd Warsaw Marathon and edit the data.
- Those participants that do not take part in registration for starting rounds, will be randomly and irreversibly assigned to one of them on September 3rd.
The 43rd Warsaw Marathon will be split into four starting rounds: at 8:00 AM (the main start), and then at 8:15 AM, 8:30 AM, and 8:45 AM.
Your timely responses will allow us to efficiently organize the run for you and other participants.
See you soon!

Additional registration is now open
Dear runners,
On the last weekend of September, Warsaw will welcome you extra cheerfully!
On September 26th, both 43. Warsaw Marathon and 15. Warsaw Half Marathon will take place on Warsaw streets. We know how long you’ve been waiting for the jubilee edition of the Half Marathon. Today, we are happy and excited to say that we are waiting for you on the starting line!
Both Marathon and Half Marathon will commence at different locations but will share the finish line. You can find routes of both races on our event web pages.
But that’s not all – thanks to the well-executed logistic work, support from the city authorities, and involvement of participants that filled out our questionnaire, we are able to run additional registration for our events!
The registration is now open with 1000 extra spaces for Warsaw Marathon and 2500 extra slots for Warsaw Half Marathon. We know that there are those among you that registered for both races. Thank you so much for choosing our events! We really hope you’ll understand and support us here – we did our absolute best to organize both running events still in 2021, events that everyone anticipates so much.
HERE is where you can find all information on choosing your race and registering etc. This year, we will meet with you only once, but this day will be remarkable andthe one to remember!
For the past few months, along with other event coordinators, we worked really hard on making mass-running events happen. The current laws and regulations finally make it possible for us to go ahead with organizing 15. Warsaw Half Marathon – an event that thousands of runners have been waiting for since spring of 2020.
Considering the current state of the epidemic, requirements to follow the sanitary regime, and a tight calendar of events organized in the city, we believe that the decision of organizing both Marathon and Half Marathon on the same date is the right one. It also gives our events the highest chance to actually happen in 2021.
With a new date for the Half Marathon, we make it possible for those with double entries to choose which running event they want to take part in on September 26th. In order to do so, you need to fill out a form that’s available for you upon logging into the REGISTRATION PANEL.
Both races will be organized in alignment with current restrictions. You will find all details regarding registrations, races, and answers to FAQ in our IMPORTANT INFORMATION sheet.
For the past couple of months we have been pushed to adjust to the ever-changing reality and for this whole time, we felt your support. We are now excited and happy to invite you to our incomparable running events!

The participant limit reached
Dear Runners,
Thank you for your support and enthusiasm to participate in the 43rd Warsaw Marathon.
We would like to inform you that the limit of 3 000 participants has been reached. That means, that 3 000 runners have already registered and paid the full fee or raised the minimum required amount in their #BiegamDobrze fundraisers.
As we informed before, from now on you won’t be able to pay the fee for a newly registered participant (in the traditional path) and the fundraisers for the participants that didn’t reach the minimum required amount are now disabled (in the charity path).
From now on you won’t be able to register a new participant or pay the fee for a previously registered one. Please do not send fee money – any payments won’t result in the participant being able to take part in the race.
All the money raised through the #BiegamDobrze charity path will be transferred to the NGO that the participants chose while registering. On behalf of all the NGOs we would like to thank you all very much!
If we will be able to enlarge the limit of participants of the 43rd Warsaw Marathon, due to any new regulations, we will inform you about the changes and ask you to register. In the coming days a “reserve list” will be created – all the relevant information will be posted on our website.

Race guide (virtual and standard race)
We have collected all the key instructions in this information booklet for the 42nd PZU ORLEN Warsaw Marathon, so that you can calmly count down to the start of the race.
The run will be held at special times and many of the elements we are used to have changed. That is why it is worth taking a few moments to check the details and see what the event will look like in the last week of September.
If you are running virtually with us, you can find all the key details about using the application or sending us your result in a dedicated information booklet.
Registration for the virtual race is still open
We kindly invite you to take part in the virtual part of the 42nd Warsaw Marathon. In addition to the royal marathon distance you can also choose to participate on one of the shorter distances: 21k, 10k or 5k. The Warsaw Marathon has not once stopped in its history of over 40 years. You shouldn’t stop either and we will make sure you will feel like a part of this history!
As a part of the race we will share with you a dedicated app with which you can run on your favourite course. We will compete on 26th and 27th of September, the weekend of the actual race in Warsaw. You will also receive identical medals as the participants of the Marathon. On September 27th we will connect with you via the radio to listen to “Sen o Warszawie” together. You are encouraged to share your photos from the race in the app. Results of all participants will be published in a special edition of Warsaw Marathon newspaper. Because this year we are all doing this together, no matter which part of the world you are running in.

Ballot results
Dear runners,
All of you have been sent an email and a text message concerning the draw and your participation in the event. Individuals who have qualified to the real marathon race will be able to pick among four heats on the first-come-first-served-basis. The heats will be closed automatically once the limit of 250 is reached. Please have in mind both the times of the heats and the time limits for each.
The selection form will be available starting Friday, August 14, 3 p.m. until Monday, August 17, noon. A failure to pick a heat by that time will trigger a random selection of a heat for this runner.
If you failed to be qualified for the real marathon make sure to take part in the virtual race; make sure to check your email for details of getting a refund or transfer to other Warsaw Marathon Foundation events. If you choose to transfer your entry money to the 2021 edition you will get an entry in the 2020 virtual marathon totally free. We hope you stay with us!
42nd Warsaw Marathon will take place on September 26th and 27th 2020!
Dear runners,
Over the last few months, we have been working hard to organise this event in the safest way possible for you, for our volunteers, for ourselves and following current sanitary rules. We also undertook, together with the Association of Mass Events Organizers, a series of actions aimed to enable as many runners as possible to take part in the 42nd edition of Warsaw Marathon – symbol of persistence and tradition in sport. Only now we can tell you that this tradition of over 40 years will not be interrupted and we are more than happy to invite you to the 42nd edition of the race.
This year Warsaw Marathon will look differently, because the reality is now very different. The current limit of participants who can simultaneously compete on the route is 250 people. Therefore, we will do it 4 different times! On September 26th and 27th 1000 participants will run through the streets of Warsaw in 4 separate rounds, competing on a 5k loop in the heart of our city. We would like to thank everyone who made this possible. We also know that these kind of events are the ones you remember best.
At this moment nearly 2000 participants have paid their fee. Thank you for your trust. Because of the limit mentioned earlier the registration for the race is now closed and tomorrow a questionnaire will appear on the profiles of runners who already have their starting number assigned. By completing it you will be able to confirm your willingness to participate in the race or, for example, transfer your registration to next year’s edition of the marathon. If there are more people willing to start than there are available places on the list, a draw will be conducted on Thursday. You can find all the details about participants selection in race’s regulations on our website.
We know that some of you will be disappointed with the inability to participate in this year’s event. This is why we want to give you an opportunity to participate anyway. We would like to invite you all to take part in the virtual race. We will do everything to make you feel like participants of the real event while running on your favorite routes. Warsaw Marathon has never once stopped on its 42-year route. You shouldn’t stop either, be part of the history! To make this virtual race even more exciting it will be connected to our #BiegamDobrze charity. Last year we raised together 1.5 million zloty for different charity organisations.
We believe that this year’s event will not only be remembered by the difficult times we live in, but also by the amount of good we managed to do together. In the virtual race you will be able to participate on 4 different distances: 5k, 10k and half marathon and marathon. All the details about the virtual race, charity fundraisers and registration will be available on August 14th on event’s website.
On the marathon’s website you will soon find a preview of what the safety measures implemented during the event will look like, as well as all the details and answers to your questions.
Do your running and stay with us, we believe that the medal from this year’s edition will have a special place in many collections.
