Join us for the Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon!

In your letters, you’ve been asking whether the Little Great Run will take place on the eve of the Great Run. Our answer is – it will! Registration for the Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon will open soon. As every year, there will be different distances depending on the age of the participants.

You’ll see your little ones on the course traditionally on the Saturday before the Marathon, which is September 28th. On that day, the entire Runner’s Village at the Palace of Culture and Science will be buzzing with life, and we invite you to take a trip to the city center.

The Nice To Fit You Mini Marathon is a series of runs for children and youth. With professional timekeeping, beautiful commemorative medals at the finish line, and a chance to introduce the younger generation to the excitement of sports! Let’s share the joy of running with the kids.

Reminder: the #IRunWell deadline is approaching. Will you break the charity bank?

Since the start of the #IRunWell initiative, over 10,000 people have participated, raising more than 8 million PLN for charitable organizations. The highlight of the campaign is set to take place during the last weekend of September in the capital, with two major races.

Charity running events are incredibly popular worldwide. We are proud to see growing interest in similar events here in Poland year after year. These actions engage everyone – both runners and those who can’t participate directly. Those who don’t run can support participants by donating to a chosen charity. The runners, on the other hand, run not only for themselves but also for the charitable organization they support with their effort. Through the #IRunWell initiative, they gain a sense of fulfilled mission and added value from their training and participation. It’s a unique initiative that unites people, supports noble causes, and brings immense joy,” says Magda Skrocka, COO at the “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation.

Got your fundraising campaign? Remember to raise the minimum amount!

You have until the end of August to gather the minimum amount! Reaching this goal guarantees you a special orange-colored race number as a gift. Share your campaign again on social media, reach out to your colleagues, or contribute the remaining amount yourself to secure your spot on the starting list.

If you don’t manage to raise the minimum amount by the end of the month, you’ll still have the option to register through the traditional path.

Do you want to join a unique community? Support a charity that’s close to your heart!

If anyone is looking for extra motivation to participate in the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon or the Nice To Fit You Warsaw 10K, taking place on the last weekend of September in the capital, then the #IRunWell campaign is perfect for you!

So far, nearly a thousand people have registered for both September races through the charity pathway. How can you join them?

Simply register for the race at your chosen distance via the charity pathway. Choose one of the participating charitable organizations and set up a virtual fundraiser, encouraging your friends and family to donate to a cause that matters to you. Once you’ve raised the minimum amount specified in the regulations, you’ll receive your race package. Your number will be special – you’ll run with a distinctive orange race number! Additionally, you’ll enjoy surprises from your chosen charity and a massage area after the race.

Compete for an Extra Prize from Nationale-Nederlanden

Your virtual fundraising doesn’t stop once you reach the minimum amount – it continues! The closer the race gets, the more motivation there is to donate. Participants are getting creative and coming up with fun ways to promote their campaigns and encourage contributions. You can also top up your fundraiser on your own. All funds raised will be donated to the charity you’ve chosen to support. Moreover, as in previous years, the title sponsor of the marathon, Nationale-Nederlanden, will reward the highest fundraisers. It’s worth striving for that extra financial boost!

For the third time, we are participating in the #IRunWell campaign, which brings us great joy and satisfaction. Once again, as Nationale-Nederlanden, we will donate 5, 10, and 15 thousand PLN to the top three fundraisers in the marathon distance. We are happy to provide financial assistance to charitable organizations that offer care and support to those in need every day. By doing this, we promote selfless help and cheer on the marathon runners who have taken on the challenge of running over 40 kilometers, says Marta Pokutycka-Mądrala, Corporate Communications Director and Spokesperson at Nationale-Nederlanden.

Registration for the races, including the charity pathway, takes place in the Runner’s Panel:

Warsaw Marathon will once again take place in the very center – here is the course for this year’s edition of the Great Run!

The Warsaw Marathon will once again take place in the very center. Starting from the Palace of Culture and Science, runners will pass through Aleje Jerozolimskie, going by the iconic de Gaulle Roundabout with its distinctive palm tree. They will then head towards the Poniatowski Bridge and cross the Vistula River. The route continues through Washington Roundabout towards Modrzewiowa. Along the way, runners will approach the PGE Narodowy stadium, then return to the left bank of Warsaw via the Gdański Bridge and head north.

Marathoners will pass near Powązki, then through the dynamically developing Wola district along Obozowa and Księcia Janusza streets, before entering Bemowo and Bielany.

The final kilometers of the route will take runners along Królewska and Mazowiecka streets, lined with historic buildings and modern office buildings. The finish line and Marathon Village at the Palace of Culture and Science provide a beautiful ending to the royal distance.

Perhaps never in its forty-six-year history has the Warsaw Marathon had such a fast and remarkable course. With the start and finish at the Palace of Culture, two bridges, seven districts, and minimal uphill and difficult sections. Are you a running tourist wanting to see the city center, the Vistula River, the National Stadium, the wonderful panorama of the Old Town, and experience the extraordinary cheering from the residents of Bemowo, Chomiczówka, or Bielany? Or maybe you want to compete for the best possible result? Warsaw has a route that any city would envy!” commented Marek Tronina, Race Director and President of the Warsaw Marathon Foundation.

The TEAM UP! 2024 project explained.

In this year’s 46th edition of the Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon, the TEAM UP! project continues to feature its two versions: the amateur edition (TEAM UP! Everyone) and the professional edition (TEAM UP! Europe).

Building the Team is for Everyone so TEAM UP! Everyone

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a newcomer, forming a team for the 46th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon is an opportunity not to be missed. Compete in an event that’s almost identical to a professional race and share the experience with friends. Register now and invite 2-3 other runners to join your team. One thing is guaranteed: you will take part in a fascinating competition.

What are the rules for TEAM UP! Everyone?

– Eligibility: The competition is open to runners registered as participants in the Warsaw Marathon who have been assigned bib numbers.
– Building a Team: Each team must consist of three or four runners, with no gender requirements.
– Team Captain: The person who submits the team application becomes the team captain.
– Points Calculation: For a team to be classified, at least two members must complete the race. The final score for the team will be calculated using the World Athletics point converter. In case of a tie, the score of the fourth team member will determine the final classification. If this does not break the tie, the teams will share the same place. Each team’s final result will be based on the best three point scores calculated at the finish of the marathon.

Benefits

–  All TEAM UP! EVERYONE team captains will be presented on stage the day before the marathon.
–  Teams that place on the podium will receive trophies.
–  Each member of the winning team will earn free entry to the 2025 Warsaw Marathon or Half Marathon.
