The 38th edition of the PZU Warsaw Marathon will start this year from one of the most recognizable and prestigious locations in the capital: the main gate of the University of Warsaw, which this year celebrates the 200th anniversary of its establishment. The finish line will be located on Wisłostrada by the Fountain Park. It will also be a great return of this place as a part of the course of our great race.

Traditionally, the course will focus on the most beautiful and historical points of Warsaw with the most remarkable ones as the start and finish line of the race.

For the first time in the history of the Warsaw Marathon, we will start from the main gate of the University of Warsaw. This is obviously associated with the 200th anniversary of its establishment.

After the first kilometers along the Royal Route up to Plac Na Rozdrożu we will run along Puławska street to Ursynów, then we will go up to the vicinity of Temple of Divine Providence to reach almost the half of the marathon in the Łazienki Królewskie Park. Then running across the Świętokrzyski Bridge we will reach the right bank of the Vistula River. Then we will run next to the Zoo and through the center of Praga Północ district to reach the Gdański Bridge. From there, the Warsaw Marathon, for the first time in more than a quarter- century, will head to the Wilson Square. After going around the Kępa Potocka and passing the Citadel we will reach the finish line, which, after eight years of break, comes back to the vicinity of Fountain Park at the foot of the New Town.

This year’s course of the 38th PZU Warsaw Marathon is very fast and ideal for setting new personal bests.
