Information Guide

We have gathered all the most essential information for you about the 47th Warsaw Marathon and the Nice To Fit You Warsaw 10K – both races will take place on September 28, 2025.

REGISTRATION

Registration for all our races takes place online on a dedicated page >>>

  • The participant limit for the 47th Warsaw Marathon is 9,000.
  • Registration will take place in the following stages:
  • – From December 10, 2024, to September 14, 2025 – open registration in the traditional and charitable #BiegamDobrze paths.
  • – From September 15 to September 27, 2025 – open registration is only on the traditional path.
  • Online registration for the 47th Warsaw Marathon will close on September 27, 2025, at 8:00 p.m.
  • Registering in person at the Race Office will still be possible, provided the limit has not been reached. Please note that the total number of bibs available after September 25 and at the Race Office is capped at 200.

Registration for the Nice To Fit You Warsaw 10K will open in the first half of 2025.

 

DATE & LOCATION

  • The 47th Warsaw Marathon will occur on September 28, 2025, in Warsaw.
  • The race will start at 9:00 a.m. The starting line will close approx. 10 minutes after the start.
  • Distance: 42.195 km. The course is certified by PZLA and World Athletics.

TIME LIMITS

The total time limit to complete the marathon is 6 hours 30 minutes, counted from the starter’s gun.

Additional split time limits are:

  • 3:15 – at the halfway point (21.1 km)
  • 4:45 – at 30 km
  • 5:30 – at 35 km
  • 6:15 – at 40 km

WHO CAN RUN

You must be at least 18 years old on or before September 28, 2025 (born before September 28, 2007).

ENTRY FEES

Basic race pack for the 47th Warsaw Marathon:

  • Until December 31, 2024: 60 EUR
  • Until April 10, 2025: 75 EUR
  • Until August 31, 2025: 90 EUR
  • Until September 14, 2025: 105 EUR
    From September 15, 2025: 120 EUR

Participants born on or before September 28, 1960, receive a 25% discount on the current fee.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Participants can order additional items:

  • New Balance technical T-shirt: 26 EUR
  • Cotton T-shirt: 17 EUR
  • Bib delivery by mail (only for Polish addresses): 10 EUR
  • Medal engraving: 7 EUR
  • Cancellation & refund option: 13 EUR

 

#IRUNWELL (CHARITY OPTION)

Participants must choose either a traditional or charity registration mode during sign-up.

The charity mode allows participants to receive a race bib in exchange for raising funds for a chosen cause.

To join the #BiegamDobrze campaign:

  • Select the charity registration option in the form.
  • Choose one of 11 partner charities, including Rak’n’Roll Foundation, Amnesty International, SYNAPSIS Foundation, Polish Humanitarian Action, and more.
  • Those who raise at least PLN 550 by September 14, 2025, will receive a race bib for the 47th Warsaw Marathon.
  • Fundraising campaigns for those who reach or exceed the target can continue until October 10, 2025.

BIB SHIPPING

Participants using the shipping option are not required to verify at the Race Office. Shipping is possible only for Polish addresses.

  • Shipping orders must be completed by September 4, 2025.
  • A bib number must be assigned by that date to qualify.
  • Packages will be shipped about two weeks before the race.

BIB PICK-UP

Race packs can be collected at the Race Office in the Palace of Culture and Science (Plac Defilad 1, entrance from Marszałkowska St).

Operating hours will be announced soon.

Note: the Race Office will be CLOSED on race day!

  • Bring a photo ID and your QR code to pick up your pack.
  • If someone else picks it up for you, they must have your QR code and a copy/photo of your ID.

QR codes will be sent via email and SMS on September 25, 2025, around 5:00 p.m.

HOW TO GET TO THE RACE OFFICE

We highly recommend using public transportation. Parking near the Palace of Culture and Science is very limited.

You can get there by metro:

 

  • Centrum (M1) or Świętokrzyska (M1 & M2) stations.

 

WHAT’S IN THE RACE PACK

Your starter pack includes:

  • Bib number with timing chip
  • Safety pins
  • Deposit bag
  • (Optional) race T-shirt
  • Sponsor gifts (only when picking up the bib in person)

Right next to the Race Office, you’ll find the Sport & Fitness Expo, featuring stands with running gear, gadgets, nutrition products, and expert advice.

MARATHON FAN ZONE

The Warsaw Marathon is a celebration for runners, families, and the entire city.

Together with our partners, we will prepare a Race Village with food, entertainment, a stage, contests, sports activities, screenings, and giveaways – open on Saturday and Sunday.

GETTING TO THE START – SUNDAY

Starts are located near the Palace of Culture and Science – on Świętokrzyska Street.

Again, parking is very limited, so we recommend public transportation.

Use Centrum (M1) or Świętokrzyska (M2) metro stations.

On race day, runners can use Zone 1 public transport for free, by showing their race bib.

Reusable cardboard metro passes will be available at the INFO point in the Race Office.

Those who ordered bib delivery will receive them in their envelope.

 

STARTING ZONES

Runners must enter the start zone marked on their bib. Zones will be clearly indicated with flags.

Zone assignment is based on your predicted finish time provided during registration.

Predicted times can be edited until August 31, 2025.

Runners registering after that date are not guaranteed a time zone corresponding to their predicted result.

 

RACE ROUTE

Note: For safety reasons, no one without a bib is allowed on the course.

Prohibited: bicycles, nordic walking poles, skateboards, scooters, mechanical devices, and animals.

Only credentialed individuals may be exceptions.

 

WHEELCHAIR PARTICIPANTS

Athletes in direct-drive wheelchairs may take part in both races.

After registering, they must send proof of disability to info@maratonwarszawski.com
Hand-bikes and rim-push wheelchairs are not allowed.

Participants using direct-drive wheelchairs receive a 50% discount (basic pack only) if they send proof of disability.

AID STATIONS

  • Aid stations with water will be placed every ~2.5 km starting from km 5.
  • Every second station from km 10 onward will also offer isotonic drinks and bananas.
  • Stations are ~100 m long – you don’t need to crowd the first table!
  • Each aid station starts and ends with water tables.

Drop zones for used cups will be right after each aid station – please use them to keep the course clean.

 

TOILETS

  • Portable toilets will be located near every aid station.
  • Accessible toilets for wheelchair participants will be marked closer to race day.

 

BAG DROP

  • Each runner receives a deposit bag with their bib.
  • Attach your bib sticker to the bag to check it in.
  • Bags can be retrieved after the finish line with your race bib.
  • Deposit areas are located in the Race Village – check your bib for the correct zone.
  • Details and times to follow.
  • Valuables left in the deposit are at your own risk.

 

CHANGING ROOMS

Available before and after the race, located near the deposit area.

 

PACEMAKERS

Pacemakers will help you hit your goal finish time.

We’ll publish their target times soon.

 

TIMING

 

Timing is based on the chip in your bib number.

Do not tamper with the foam-protected chip.

  • All rankings are based on net times (from crossing the start line),
  • Except for the first 200 finishers, who are ranked based on gun time.

If fewer than 10 women or 10 men are in the top 200, the count will be increased to include them.

All additional rankings (age groups, categories) are based on net time.

BIB NUMBER

  • The bib must be worn on the front of your outfit, clearly visible and not modified.
  • Violations will result in disqualification.
  • You must have your bib to enter the starting area.
  • Your bib also shows your start zone and deposit zone.

IMPORTANT! Fill out the back of your bib with personal and emergency information.

ONLINE RESULTS

The results of the 47th Warsaw Marathon and the Nice To Fit You Warsaw 10K will be available online on the race website. After the race, each participant will also receive an SMS with their result.

Results will also be published on the STS website – the link will be shared closer to the event.

MEAL

Based on the race bib number from the 47th Warsaw Marathon, participants will be entitled to a post-race recovery meal. The location of the meal zone will be shown on the Marathon Fan Zone map closer to the event.

MASSAGES

The massage zone at the 47th Warsaw Marathon will be located in the Runner’s Village. Special signage will lead to the tent. Massages are free of charge. Professional massage tables will be set up in the zone, staffed by dozens of massage therapists.

#IRUNWELL participants will have priority access and do not need to queue.

MEDALS

Medals will be presented soon.

It is possible to purchase medal engraving in the registration form. The service will also be available on-site at a cost of 7 EUR. The Grawerbus tent will be located within the Village area.

T-SHIRT

The t-shirt design will be presented soon.
The size must be selected in the registration form. Size changes can be made by editing the registration form, but no later than 10 September 2025.
Please note: the number of shirts in each size is limited, and availability is not guaranteed at all times.
T-shirts will be distributed at the Race Office according to the size selected during registration.

AWARDS

  • All participants who complete the 47th Warsaw Marathon will receive a commemorative medal at the finish line.
  • The top three finishers in the general classification (men and women) of the 47th Warsaw Marathon, as well as the top three in each age category, will receive commemorative trophies.

WITHDRAWAL FROM THE RACE

  • The race entry fee is non-refundable, non-transferable to another person or a future race, and cannot be exchanged for a voucher.
    An exception applies if the participant selects and pays for the “Refund Option” during registration. The cost of this service for the 47th Warsaw Marathon is 13 EUR, and it is non-refundable.
    It is not possible to purchase this option at a later time.
  • Once the Refund Option is purchased, the participant may withdraw from the race without giving a reason and receive a full refund of the entry fee, including additional paid options, provided that the withdrawal is submitted by:
    – 26 September 2025 (if the race kit is collected at the Race Office), or
    – 11 September 2025 (if the race kit is delivered by post).

To withdraw, log into your participant account at https://rejestracja.nnmaratonwarszawski.com/ and select the “Withdraw from the race ” button in the “Your Races” section.

INVOICE

Participants who wish to receive an invoice for the paid entry fee should select the appropriate option in the registration form and provide the necessary billing details. The invoice will be generated automatically after payment is processed and will be available for download from the participant’s profile by the 15th of the month following the payment date.

According to tax regulations, since payment is made before the service is provided, a prepayment invoice covering the full amount will be issued. This prepayment invoice also serves as the final invoice.

To receive a Pro Forma invoice, please send the following details to: ksiegowosc@maratonwarszawski.com:
– Billing information
– Number and list of participants (with registration numbers)
– Selected race kit option

Proforma invoices are only issued for the registration of at least two participants (it is not possible to receive a proforma invoice for a single person).

 

GROUP REGISTRATION

There is no group registration available – each participant must register individually by filling out the registration form.

If you wish to pay for a group with a single bank transfer, each person must first register individually. Then, a proforma invoice can be requested. Instructions:

  1. During registration, participants should not request an invoice or enter any invoice details. They should also not make their individual payments.
  2. To request a proforma invoice, send the following to ksiegowosc@maratonwarszawski.com:
    – Billing details
    – Number and list of participants (with registration numbers)
    – Selected race and race kit option

Proforma invoices are issued only for groups of at least two participants. Once the payment is processed, all participants on the list will be assigned their race bib numbers.
